The Carmi-White County Boys Basketball team defeated Hamilton County on Friday Night by a final score of 67-61.
It was a thrilling ballgame in front of a packed McDougal-Evers Gymnasium, and the Bulldogs put together their best performance of the season to pick up their first win.
Hayden Sauls and Carson Miller each scored 17 points to lead the way for Carmi.
Dylan Winerberger scored 13.
Jaxon Bradshaw scored 9.
Merick Millhorn scored 8.
Kyzen Edwards scored 2.
Justus Tauiliili scored 1.
The Bulldogs improve their record to 1-8 and 1-1 in the Black Diamond Conference. Carmi will begin play in the Eldorado Holiday Tournament on Friday when they take on top-seeded Carterville at 8:30 AM.

The Carmi-White County Girls Basketball team fell to Logan County (KY) on Saturday at the Calloway County Hardwood Classic by a final score of 60-42.
The Lady Bulldogs led 31-27 at the half, but were outscored 29-15 in the 2nd half.
Addi Elliott led Carmi in scoring with 14 points.
Torrie Rider scored 13.
Caroline Simmons scored 6.
Jaya Smith scored 3.
Norah Taylor, Eva Attebury, and Maggie Pearce each scored 2 points.
The Lady Bulldogs fall to 11-2 on the season. They will have the next 17 days off as they won’t play again until January 8th when they travel to Edwards County.
