The Enfield Village Board met Tuesday night for the final time in 2025. Scott Mareing was at the 90 minute meeting for WROY/WRUL News and has this report…
The street lighting is almost done. They’re now working on the last four poles. The Christmas lights are all up. They’re still working on the estimate for community center repairs. The deeds are in for the two areas of land, one of them being at 207 Sacramento Street. The village is still working on getting park grant money.
The parcel of land at Miller Street is still open for bids, as none have yet been made.
An update was given on the events going on at the Community Center. Also, the boilers there are now working and some of the radiators at the gym need to have belts put on. In the Police Report, the board approved installing a radar unit and radio in the second police vehicle, the one that came from Mill Shoals. In the Utilities Report, there are no problems at this time. The new employee seems to be working out quite well.
In the Animal Control Report, there were two dogs taken to the pound. Carmi claimed one, and the other was retrieved by its owner.
The board approved a donation of $1,000 to Angel Tree, which provides gifts for needy children. They then went into a 26-minute Executive Session to discuss personnel, but no action was taken. The board adjourned at 8:28 PM.
