The Carmi-White County Girls Basketball team defeated Anna-Jonesboro by a final score of 45-33 on Saturday to win the Harrisburg Preview Tournament Championship.
The Lady Bulldogs improve to 5-0 as they went 4-0 on the week, winning the tournament championship outright for the first time since 2000.
Caroline Simmons led Carmi in scoring on Saturday with 21 points. In doing so, Simmons became the 32nd member of the CWCHS 1,000 point club, becoming the 11th Lady Bulldog to ever score 1,000 career points.
Simmons along with Addi Elliott and Torrie Rider were named to the All-Tournament Team.
The Lady Bulldogs will begin conference play tomorrow night as they host Hamilton County at McDougal-Evers Gymnasium. The Lady Foxes are also undefeated at 5-0 as they won the Hamilton County Invitational Tournament last week.

The Carmi-White County Boys Basketball team will begin play in the DuQuoin Tip-Off Classic tonight as they take on the host Indians at 8 PM.

The Bulldogs will battle Chester on Wednesday and Herrin on Friday, they will then play for either 4th, 3rd, 2nd, or 1st Place on Saturday.
The Carmi-White County Wrestling team will travel to Herrin tonight.
