The Carmi-White County Girls Basketball team defeated Lawrenceville last night on the road by a final score of 54-21.
Addi Elliot led the Lady Bulldogs in scoring with 16 points.
Caroline Simmons & Torrie Rider each scored 15.
Natalie Goemaat scored 4 points.
Eva Attebury and Jaya Smith each scored 2.
The Lady Bulldogs start the season with a 1-0 record, they will begin play in the Harrisburg Preview Tournament on Monday.
Carmi will face Eldorado on Monday at 6 PM. That game will be streamed on 97.3 FM WRUL and the WRUL Sports YouTube Channel.
The Lady Bulldogs will then face West Frankfort on Tuesday, Harrisburg on Wednesday, and Anna-Jonesboro next Saturday.
Carmi will finally play their first home game of the season on Tuesday, December 2nd as they host Hamilton County.
The Carmi-White County Boys Basketball team will begin their season on Tuesday as they travel to Gallatin County. The Bulldogs are coming off a 14-15 season and they graduated 5 seniors from last year’s team.
Fans can watch and listen to Tuesday’s game on 97.3 FM WRUL and the WRUL Sports YouTube Channel. The Bulldogs will then take part in the DuQuoin Tip-Off Classic the week after Thanksgiving.
