Congratulations to Carmi-White County senior volleyball players; Jaya Smith, Addi Elliott, Caroline Simmons, Audrey Taylor, and Torrie Rider who were all named to the Black Diamond Conference All-Conference team.
Simmons was also named to the Illinois Volleyball Coaches Association 1st Team All-State Team. Elliott was named 2nd Team All-State, and Smith was named an Honorable Mention.
Congratulations to all of the Lady Bulldogs on such tremendous honors.
The NCOE Fighting Cardinals Volleyball team will head to Normal this weekend for the IHSA Class 1A State Finals. NCOE will face Stockton on Friday at 9 AM in the Semifinals. If NCOE wins on Friday, they will face either Tremont or Cissna Park in the State Championship Match on Saturday.
There is only one area high school football team that is still alive in the IHSA Football Playoffs, the Flora Wolves. Flora will travel to Maroa-Forsyth on Saturday for the Quarterfinal Round of the 2A Playoffs. If Flora wins on Saturday they will face either Westville or Arthur-Lovington-Atwood-Hammond in the Semifinals next weekend.
