As the federal government shutdown continues, White County Soil and Water Conservation District staff will be available again in an office of the Farm Bureau Building on Robinson Street in Carmi on Wednesday and Thursday of this week (November 5 and 6th). The SWCD sincerely appreciates the continuing assistance and support given by the White County Farm Bureau and looks forward to continuing to provide services to farmers, landowners, and partners on non-federal programs.
Farmers using irrigation for your fields in 2025, this is a reminder to make sure irrigation reports are in soon. You can submit them yourself at the University of Illinois website, or contact the White County SWCD by email at [email protected] to ask where to turn in the reports. Information may also be brought to SWCD staff at the Farm Bureau on Wednesday or Thursday of this week. Reports are due to the University of Illinois before January 1st, 2026. If you are turning them in to White County SWCD, the reports are due December 10th, 2025, to allow time to input all information correctly.
