There’s about to be one less market in Carmi. Kenny Hargrave confirmed to WROY/WRUL News Wednesday afternoon the sale of Fifth Street Market has been finalized. The store’s final day will be this Friday, August 29th. After carrying mail for 35 years, doing landscaping, growing mums, operating a storage facility, and eventually purchasing the grocery store, Hargrave says he’s looking forward to traveling and spending more time with his wife, kids, and grandkids while also continuing to do what he loves…serving up food out of their food truck, catering, and setting up at events. Eventually, Hargrave plans to utilize a commercial kitchen out of a building he owns near Plum Street Pharmacy. You can continue to call 618-384-9153 if you’d like to schedule catering or get in touch to find out where the food truck will be setting up.
