The Carmi-White County Junior High Softball team fell to Carterville at Archie Brown Field yesterday afternoon by a final score of 19-10.
The Lady Bullpups took a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the 1st inning. Carterville scored 6 in the 3rd, but Carmi would answer with 6 of their own in the 3rd to take a 9-6 lead after 3 innings. Carterville would then score 9 in the 4th, 3 in the 5th, and one more in the 7th to go on and win 19-10.
Maci Martin, Alaina Gaddis, Alyss Courson, Sophia Jamison, Emma Ricketts, Auriana Goff, and Anna Girten all picked up base hits in the loss.
The Lady Bullpups fall to 0-1 on the season, they’ll be back in action today as they travel to Hamilton County.
The CWC Junior High Baseball team will also travel to Hamilton County today.
The Carmi-White County Boys & Girls Golf teams will begin their seasons tomorrow as they travel to Mt. Carmel for the Mt. Carmel Invitational.
