Fresh off a 3rd Place trophy win at the Christopher Turkey Tournament, Coach Jim Tucker’s NCOE Fighting Cardinals picked up their first conference win by distancing themselves from the Trojans at Crab Orchard 58-50 Tuesday night.
Joe Melton led the way in scoring for NCOE with 21. Senior Eli Brown also added double digits. The Cards shot 62% from the floor in the second half, including 3 of 4 from beyond the arc, and finished 48% from the floor on the night.
Next action for NCOE will be Friday night as they play host to Thompsonville. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m. We will be on the air just prior to that on AM 1460 WROY and 92.1 FM Roy Radio with the pregame show.
