Rickey R. Gunther, 67, of Norris City passed away on December 20, 2025 in Indianapolis, IN. He was born on May 10, 1958 in Princeton, Ky the son of William Price Gunther and Myrtle Cooper. He was a member of the Souls Harbor Church of God in Ridgway and the Masonic Lodges in Norris City and Enfield. His hobbies were fishing, hunting animals, hunting arrowheads and mushrooms, and helping whoever he could.

   Rickey is survived by his longtime companion of 17 years, Ruth Kingston of Norris City; children, Pamela (Charles) Vaughan of Carmi, Khrystyn (Joseph Dare III) Gunther of Mill Shoals, Samee Gunther of Carmi, Rickey H. (Joshua Sutherland) Gunther of English, IN, Lukas Gunther of McLeansboro, Sara (Chris Smith) Youngblood of Dale, IL, Kimberly R (Brian) Phelps of Norris City, and Derek (Jennifer Hamby) Kingston of Oran, MO; siblings, Jerry (Audrey) Gunther of Ridgway, Billy (Cheryl) Gunther of Ohio, Tody (Rhonda) Gunther of McLeansboro, Butch (Ginger) Gunther of Golconda, and Faye Gunther of Broughton; sister-in-law, Paula Gunther; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Randy Gunther, Charles Gunther, Jimmy Gunther, Junior Gunther, and Barbara Ann Gunther.

   Funeral services and Masonic Rites for Rickey R. Gunther, 67, of Norris City will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, December 28, 2025 at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City. Burial will follow at Union Ridge Cemetery near New Haven. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 28, 2025 at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Rickey’s memory to the Norris City or Enfield Masonic Lodge and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home or by mail to 609 W. Main St., Carmi, IL 62821.
