Marjorie Helen (Seyfert) Givensformerly of Norris City, IL

Marjorie Helen (Seyfert) Givens, age 87, formerly of Norris City, Illinois, went home to be with her heavenly father October 28, 2025. She was born March 17,1938 to Frederick and Ruth Seyfert. Marjorie married Jackie E. Givens 07/06/59 and raised five children together.

She was a graduate of Rochester, NY high school and went on to obtain her Bachelor of Nursing degree from West Suburban Hospital at Oak Park, Illinois in 1958. Marjorie was an active member of church, assisting with children’s church, drama, singing in choir and playing the keyboards. Marjorie also played the keyboards for a Christian Gospel band, the Redeemed Generation. Marjorie enjoyed traveling, reading, listening to music, spending time with her family and playing games.

She is survived by her sister, Vivian (Seyfert) Alderfer, her daughters, Linda Williams, Mary Starks and Crystal Schroeder, honorary daughter Mary Gothard, and two sons, Charles Givens and Kevin Givens, along with 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her spouse, Jackie E. Givens, her brothers Frederick and Ralph Seyfert and her sister, Muriel (Seyfert) Campbell.

A service will be held at the Roads Church in Norris City, Illinois for friends and nearby family to celebrate her life on January 4, 2026 from 3:00-4:00 pm with refreshments after. All are welcome to join in her celebration of life.
