Federico “Freddy” Lopez, 62, of Grayville, Illinois, passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2025, in Henderson, Kentucky. He was born on Sunday, September 8, 1963, in Colimo, Mexico, the son of Reyes and Lucia (Alcaraz) Lopez.

Freddy who was known to his family and friends as “el ya-ta” was a manager at Guadalajara Mexican Restaurant in Grayville, Illinois. He was of Baptist faith. Freddy was a hard worker who loved to help his co-workers and friends in any way he could. He enjoyed fishing and being at the river. Freddy was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend who cherished his loved ones and always encouraged them by sending messages with bible verses and special songs.

Freddy is survived by his children, Liliana (Salvador Pascual) Lopez, Edgar (Katelyn) Lopez and Daniel Lopez; grandchildren, Carlos, Dulce, Victor J., Nicole and Jairo Ramirez, Emilio, Elani, and Christopher Lopez; siblings; Angela Lopez, Gloria Lopez, Maria Elena Lopez, Maricela Lopez, Sergio Lopez, Alberto Lopez, Yolanda Lopez and Rafael Lopez.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

A celebration of life service for Federico "Freddy'  Lopez will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 18, 2025, in the chapel at Roberts and Cook Funeral Service, 221 North First Street, Grayville, IL. Family and friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Arrangements have been entrusted to Roberts and Cook Funeral Service.
