EDWARD DWAIN DALLAS, 75, of North Bonneville, WA died Sept. 21, 2025 at Ray Hickey Hospice House in Vancouver, WA. He was born Dec. 18, 1949 in Jackson, TN to Wallace and Sarah Dallas.

Edward was raised in Southern Illinois in the towns of Grayville and Carmi. He graduated from the University of Illinois with a bachelor’s degree in forestry.  He married Julie Erickson on Dec. 25, 1973 in Minneapolis, MN. He lived in Alaska for three years, Minnesota for 44 years and in Washington the last four years. He worked on timber inventories and fought wildfires in Idaho, Alaska and Minnesota.  He was an auctioneer, a dog musher, a motorcycle rider, a long distance bicycle rider and a story teller, writer and poet.  He had a part in the movie “Iron Will.” He loved the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness in Minnesota, going on many canoe trips and winter camping trips. He had been a long standing member of Cascade United Methodist Church in Deerwood and was currently a member of Stevenson United Methodist Church in Stevenson, WA.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Julie, North Bonneville, WA; his daughter, Dr. Karen Dallas, Vancouver, BC; his son, Jay (Elizabeth) Dallas, Camas, WA; grandsons Quinn and Milo Dallas; his brother, Arnold Dallas; sister Ruth (Brad) Wilm; nephew Dallas Wilm and niece Mellisa Wilm.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
