WOVSED to host Pre-K Screenings
Wabash Ohio Valley Special Education District hosting a free Pre-kindergarten screening next month outside of Southeastern Illinois College’s Harry L. Crisp Student Center Cafeteria.
The screenings, set for Tuesday, Sept 18, will run from 8:30 a.m. until 2:30 that afternoon. The 45 minute screening will include hearing, vision, speech, language and coordination tests. Head Start personnel will be available to discuss the program. Families should bring a copy of the child’s official birth certificate and copies of the two most recent pay stubs for each parent for the pre-k screening.
All children living with the college district who are three years of age by screening are eligible. SIC’s district includes Saline, Gallatin, Hardin, Pope and much of White counties. It also includes the southeast corner of Hamilton and northeast corner of Johnson, as well as small border areas of East Williamson and South Hamilton counties.
