The nationwide Emergency Alert Test was conducted yesterday afternoon and according to the Emergency Alert System, no everyone received the alert, which was labeled Presidential Alert.
WROY News had reported that alert was supposed to have been held today, however, in checking our news release, received several weeks ago, there was a discrepencies in the time noted.
There was supposed to have been two test, one that was the Wireless Emergency Alert System and the other with the Emergency Alert System. The first was to test wireless, such as cellphones, reception. It was noted by the EAS that not everyone received the alert.
It is not clear at this time, if the EAS plans additional tests as yesterday’s test was supposed to check the system to see if it was working properly.
