White County Court News

In White County Court dispositions from Wednesday, Judge T. Scott Webb withheld judgement in favor of supervision for 33-year-old Krystal Nalley of McLeansboro.  In June of this year, Nalley was charged with Retail Theft at a value of less than $300.  Instead of jail time, Nalley will be on 1 year of supervision, fined and was ordered to pay restitution.  Additionally, Nalley is not allowed on Wal-Mart property.

That was the same decision for Fairfield resident Jennifery Mayberry.  Judge Webb handed down a year of supervision on a retail theft charge that dates back to June 21st.

20-year-old Kaleton Roberson of Carmi was sentenced to supervision Wednesday.  Back on May 21st, law enforcement charged Roberson with a class 2 felony of Aggravated Domestic Battery and a Class A misdemeanor of Domestic Battery.  Wednesday, Roberson pled down to a Battery charge and was given 2 years of supervision, fined, and ordered into anger management.

34-year-old Ashley Bebout wasn’t so lucky.  She’s headed to prison on a plea deal that found her guilty of Receipt/Possession/Selling of a Stolen Vehicle.  Charges of Unlawful Possession of a Credit/Debit Card, Criminal Damage to Property, and Theft were dismissed as per the plea.  Bebout will spend up to 7 years in prison running concurrently with convictions out of Wayne County.  She also was ordered to pay restitution to both Keri Starks and Rusty Walsh.  Furthermore, she agreed to testify truthfully against Matthew Gwaltney according to court documents.  Her prison stay will be followed by a year of mandatory supervised release.
