36-year-old Crossville resident Anthony Crawley is behind bars serving a six-month jail sentence. Carmi Police responded to the White County Probation office Wednesday morning after being informed Crawley had violated the terms of his probation. He had been sentenced to two years of probation on a possession of meth charge that dates back to March of 2025. He received his sentence which included that 6 month stayed jail sentence in January of this year. In March of this year, Crawley was charged with Theft with a warrant served last Sunday. He’s got a first appearance in that case on May 18th.
Another Crossville man, 27-year-old Donovan Overturf of First Street is free following his arrest late Wednesday night. Carmi Police picked up Overturf just after 11:30pm on Main at Main Cross after a traffic stop. Police say he was driving with a suspended license and he also received a citation for Operation of an Uninsured Motor Vehicle. He’ll be due in White County court on June 9th at 9am. Overturf was released just after midnight.
