An Omaha man is out of jail with a Notice to Appear following his arrest prior to Thanksgiving. Carmi Police say they picked up 34-year-old Wyatt Fasig at Wal-Mart Wednesday evening at about a quarter after 9pm. He was wanted on a warrant for Retail Theft over $300. Fasig was booked and released with a court date. He’s due before Judge Webb in White County on January 5th at 9am.
On Friday afternoon, Carmi Police pulled over 38-year-old William Wilson of Carmi on 3rd at Elm. Wilson was pulled over originally for driving with no registration. He would subsequently be arrested on a charge of Driving while License Suspended. A DUI investigation would result in a charge of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol/Drugs and he’s also facing a charge of Possession of Cannabis in a Motor Vehicle as well as Illegal Transportation of Alcohol by a Driver. Police say he was detained on those charges and released on Saturday.
Early Saturday morning just after midnight, Carmi Police pulled over 53-year-old Alex Brock of Norris City for improper lane usage. Following a roadside investigation, police placed Brock in cuffs on a charge of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. His vehicle was impounded and towed by S&E Auto. Brock was released just after 1pm Saturday and is due in White County Court on January 6th.
