Saturday morning, the White County Sheriff’s Department assisted the Gallatin County Deputies with a male involved in a shooting. All officers responded to a residence in New Haven to apprehend the individual.
Gallatin County Deputies stated that Benjamin Steele was in the home at the time. Steele was placed under arrest and transported by the White County Sheriff’s Office to the White County Jail, where he will await a court appearance.
An arrest warrant was issued for an Evansville resident waiting at the White County Jail to see a judge.
Dylan Gross was provided a copy of his warrant for a charge back in 2022 for Theft, with a Burglary charge dismissed. The warrant was due to a Petition to Revoke Probation. An Arraignment court date has been set for January 12 at 9:30 am.
