Carmi Police pulled over a 22-year-old on Sunday afternoon at the Express Lube Lot.
Kayden McDowell was arrested for multiple charges, including DUI of alcohol, DUI over .08, Driving while License Suspended, and Possession of Cannabis in a Motor Vehicle by a Driver.
McDowell was also cited for Operation of a Motor Vehicle with Suspended Registration, Operation of an Uninsured Motor Vehicle, and a Headlight Violation.
This isn’t the first DUI for McDowell. Back in July 2025, he was arrested for DUI of Alcohol, Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle, and DUI over .08. He pled guilty in December 2025, with two charges dismissed except DUI of Alcohol, where he was issued a fine, supervision for two years, and was to go to alcohol treatment.
At 5:50 am on Monday, 19-year-old Braden Compton turned himself in at the White County Sheriff’s Office on a White County warrant for Driving While License Suspended.
