Carmi Police made three arrests over the weekend, beginning on Friday afternoon, when they arrested 43-year-old Brian Gwaltney.
During a traffic stop at Main Street and Fairground Road, Carmi officers arrested Gwaltney for a White County Warrant. However, additional charges followed. Gwaltney also faced counts of Possession of Methamphetamine, Unlawful Use of Property, Possession of Hypodermic Syringe Needles, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of Cannabis in a Motor Vehicle by a Passenger.
Gwaltney was taken to the White County Jail, where he will have his First Appearance Monday morning.

On Saturday afternoon, Carmi Police arrested Tara Keown on a City of Carmi Body Attachment Warrant. She was brought to the White County Jail and later posted a $150 bond.

Rounding out the weekend arrests, a little after 2:30 pm on Sunday, officers responded to a verbal domestic call at a residence on Jessup Street.
Upon arrival, officers spoke with Triston Phillips and Haley Couture. Following an investigation, Phillips was arrested for several offenses: Criminal Damage to Property, Disorderly Conduct, Resisting or Obstructing a Peace Officer, and Aggravated Battery to a Peace Officer.
Phillips was taken to White County Jail for a First Appearance Monday morning.
