On Friday, a little after 7 pm, a White County Sheriff Deputy noticed Norris City resident Jena Davis-Sanders driving a GMC Sierra pickup truck and knew her to have a suspended driver’s license.
A traffic stop was conducted on Oak Street in Carmi on Davis-Sanders. The officer explained the reason for the stop, and with no proof of a driver’s license, Davis-Sanders was taken to the White County Jail by assisting officers from the Carmi Police Department.
Before Jena was arrested, she was allowed to call a family member to pick up the animal from the vehicle.
Jena Davis-Sanders was given a citation for Driving with a Suspended License and later released on a Notice to Appear.
