A Carmi man already incarcerated on other charges was served a warrant Wednesday morning by White County Sheriff’s authorities. It was just before 10am when a deputy served 40-year-old Karl Holland with the warrant for alleged Domestic Battery with a prior dating back to a February 9th incident. Holland was in court Wednesday on other charges including charges of Felon with a Failure to Return from Furlough and a Criminal Damage to Government Property. Holland now has a preliminary hearing scheduled for next Thursday, March 12th.

Just after 1pm Wednesday, a White County Sheriff’s Deputy was dispatched to the White County Courthouse in reference to 34-year-old Nathan Johnson having an active warrant. Johnson was in court for a pre-trial hearing on a White County case involving an alleged Arson charge and Unlawful Restraint. Johnson had an active warrant out of Posey County the White County Sheriff’s Deputy served. That warrant involves charges of Burglary, Theft, and Residential Entry. The bond on that warrant is $50,000 cash. According to court records, Johnson tested positive for Methamphetamine, Ecstacy, THC, and Alcohol. A hearing in White County will be held once Johnson is released from Indiana custody. A status hearing has been set for March 16th.
