MILLINGTON, Tenn. – Petty Officer 3rd Class Heaven D’Angelo was recently promoted while serving with Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command (NMRTC) Annapolis. D’Angelo’s mother, Elizabeth French, lives in Grayville, Illinois.
D’Angelo was promoted for demonstrating consistent professional performance, adhering to Navy standards and successfully completing advancement requirements.
“Being advanced to hospital corpsman third class represents the Navy’s recognition of my consistent performance, readiness to lead and commitment to service,” D’Angelo said. “It also means stepping into a role of greater responsibility, where I’m trusted to complete my duties, and to mentor and support junior sailors.”
D’Angelo graduated from East Richland High School in 2013 and from Ivy Tech Community College in 2021.

D’Angelo joined the Navy two years ago. Today, D’Angelo serves as a hospital corpsman responsible for providing medical care to Navy and Marine Corps personnel and their families.

Naval Medical Readiness and Training Command (NMRTC) Annapolis sailors support the U.S. Naval Academy Brigade Medical Unit and Naval Health Clinic Annapolis, which is responsible for providing health care to the midshipmen and TRICARE beneficiaries in the National Capitol Region.

With 90% of global commerce traveling by sea and access to the internet relying on the security of undersea fiber optic cables, Navy officials continue to emphasize that the prosperity of the United States is directly linked to recruiting and retaining talented people from across the rich fabric of America.

D’Angelo serves a Navy that operates far forward, around the world and around the clock, promoting the nation’s prosperity and security.

As D’Angelo and other sailors continue to train and perform missions, they take pride in serving their country in the U.S. Navy.
