The Guardian Center is southeastern Illinois’ Child Advocacy Center and it’s director Sheryl Woodham was just honored with the Bud Cramer Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Children’s Alliance at a conference in Washington, D.C. For 27 years, Sheryl has devoted her time to launching and growing the important work the organization provides. A local reception is being held for Sheryl this afternoon 1pm – 4:30pm at the center on Oak Street in Carmi.
