The event will run from 11 a.m.- 3 p.m. and will include laser tag, a petting zoo, face painting, obstacle course, dog services, and more. Craft vendor booths will be set up selling items such as jewelry, pet treats, and pet merchandise. Vet Your Pet will have nail trimming and microchipping services available. Activities on the main stage during the day include a reptile exhibit, K-9 demonstration, Rottweiler training demonstration, Top Dog Award Presentation, pet contests, a pet parade, and a Meet the Adoptables Runway Show. Pet contest categories include best costume, best trick, longest tail, and cutest ears. Participants can register for pet contests at PawFest for $1 or one supply drive item per contest.

The event is free but donations will benefit Vet Your Pet of Jefferson County and the Jefferson County Animal Control. A supply drive is currently being held to benefit The Jefferson County Animal Control. The public is encouraged to donate several items including dry and canned dog and cat food, bleach, dryer sheets, flea control medicine, peroxide, paper towels, latex gloves, and more at participating businesses.
