A 19-year-old Mt. Carmel woman is free after being arrested by Carmi Police Monday evening. It was about a quarter after 8pm when law enforcement pulled over Daisy Cordle of rural Mt. Carmel near Mr. Muffler. She would subsequently be placed under arrest for both Driving while License Suspended and unauthorized Possession of Cannabis in a Motor Vehicle. She was released just before 11pm and given a notice to appear. Cordle is due in White County court at 9am on September 9th.
