The following individual was arrested by the Mt. Carmel Police Department. All subjects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Mt. Carmel Police arrested 39 year old Melissa J. Luthe of Mt. Carmel after police were notified of a shoplifter at Dollar General. Police were informed by witnesses that Luthe stole a 32 roll package of General Dollar toilet paper. Police were able to make contact with Luthe at her residence and place her under arrest. Luthe was transported to the Wabash County Jail where she was charged with retail theft. Luthe was held pending the posting of bond.
