The Carmi-White County Volleyball team defeated Gallatin County last night at home in two sets; 25-13 & 25-12.
The Lady Bulldogs improve to 7-2 on the year. They will have the weekend off, but they will have a difficult schedule over the next 11 days. Carmi will host Flora on Tuesday before taking part in the NCOE tournament next Wednesday and Thursday. The Lady Bulldogs will then travel to the Benton tournament next Saturday before hosting undefeated Newton the following Monday.
The Carmi-White County Jr. High baseball team picked up their 7th straight win last night, defeating Benton 7-1.
Jerrick Rager picked up the win on the mound, he pitched 6 innings and gave up just 1 run on 2 hits with 11 strikeouts. Jack Taylor, Beckam Moore, Tyson May, Jett Bradshaw, and Jordan Stallings all recorded base hits in the win.
The Bullpups are now 8-2 on the year, they will travel to Eldorado on Tuesday.
The Carmi-White County Jr. High softball team also picked up their 7th straight win last night, defeating Rome Grade School 12-1.
Mollie Burnett, Rowen Goff, Sophia Jamison, Kai Wiggins, Emma Rickets, Graecelyn O’Neal, Cabella Emery, and Aniyah Huff all picked up base hits in the win.
The Lady Bullpups improve their record to 12-4 on the year, they will also travel to Eldorado on Tuesday.
The Carmi-White County Boys Golf team was scheduled to travel to Olney this afternoon, but that match has been canceled.
The Carmi-White County Football team will travel to McLeansboro tonight to take on the Hamilton County Foxes.
The Bulldogs come in with an 0-2 record, following losses to arguably the two toughest teams in the Black Diamond Conference, Johnston City and Flora. Meanwhile, Hamilton County comes in with a 2-0 record after wins over Red Hill and Sesser-Valier to start the season, their first 2-0 start since 2005.
Fans can watch and listen to tonight’s game on 97.3 FM WRUL and the WRUL Sports YouTube Channel. Kickoff is set for 7:00 PM, however kickoff could be pushed back due to heat.
The Taylor Eye Care pregame will begin 30 minutes prior to kickoff.
