The Carmi-White County Softball team had their season come to an end yesterday in the IHSA 2A Regional Semifinals, falling to Mt. Carmel by a final score of 10-0. 

The Lady Bulldogs finish the season with a 10-20 record, and the careers of their three seniors come to an end; Caroline Simons, Addi Elliott, and Torrie Rider. 

The Carmi-White County Baseball team was supposed to play at Mt. Vernon (IN) yesterday, but that game was canceled due to wet field conditions. 

The Bulldogs will begin postseason play on Monday when they travel to Zeigler-Royalton for the IHSA Regional Quarterfinals. If the Bulldogs win on Monday, they will advance to the Mt. Carmel Regional to face Fairfield. 

The Carmi-White County Boys Track team traveled to Fairfield yesterday for the IHSA Sectional, and two Bulldogs qualified for the IHSA State Track Meet.

Andrew Benham finished in 1st Place in the 1600 Meter Run with a time of 4:45.50, qualifying for State for the 2nd straight year.
Andrew’s twin brother, Connor Benham also qualified for the IHSA State Track Meet for the 2nd straight year, finishing 2nd in Pole Vault.
The Benham brothers will head to Eastern Illinois University next Thursday.

Drennan Aud – 7th Place 1600 Meter Run
Colt Smock – 5th Place 110 Meter Hurdles, 6th Place 300 Meter Hurdles
Jazz Duckworth, Dakota Brown, Branson Burnett, Isaac Northcott – 6th Place 4×1 Relay
Reece Jamison, Keaton Grant, Isaac Northcott, Dakota Brown – 3rd Place 4×2 Relay
Branson Burnett – 5th Place Shot Put
Ian Goemaat – 7th Place Shot Put

Best of luck to Norah Taylor, Torrie Rider, Ellie King, Audrey Taylor, Aubrey Kessler, and Callie Winter who will head to Eastern Illinois University today in Charleston for the IHSA State Track Meet preliminaries. 

Best of luck as well to the Carmi-White County Boys Tennis team, who will travel to Carbondale today for the IHSA Sectionals, which was originally scheduled for tomorrow but was moved up to today due to the weather forecast.
