WROY/WRUL Local Sports Recap
The Carmi-White County Boys Track team traveled to Marion on Friday for their second indoor meet of the season. The Varsity Bulldogs finished in 9th Place while the Fresh/Soph Bulldogs placed 2nd.
Top 10 Finishers for the Bulldogs were:
Dakota Brown – 10th Place 60 Meter Run
Cooper Hill – 5th Place 200 Meter Run
Jazz Duckworth – 10 Place 200 Meter Run
Andrew Benham – 2nd Place 1600 Meter Run
Reece Jamison, Isaac Northcott, Keaton Grant, Dakota Brown – 3rd Place Fresh/Soph 4×2 Relay
Kayson Garrett, Broden Bradshaw, Isaac Northcott, Dakota Brown – 3rd Place Fresh/Soph 4×4 Relay
Broden Bradshaw – 4th Place High Jump
Isaac Northcott – 5th Place Long Jump
The Bulldog Track team will have a couple of weeks off, their next meet won’t be until April 7 when they travel to DuQuoin.
The Carmi-White County Baseball and Softball teams are scheduled to begin their 2026 seasons this afternoon.
The Bulldog Baseball team will travel to West Frankfort today weather permitting. The Bulldogs will then host Carterville on Thursday for their first home game of the season.
The Lady Bulldog Softball team will host Grayville today at Archie Brown Field weather permitting. Fans can watch and listen to today’s game on 97.3 FM WRUL and the WRUL Sports YouTube Channel. First pitch is set for 4:30 PM.
