In the IHSA Boys Basketball Super-Sectionals last night:
Goreville defeated Jacksonville Routt in the 1A Jacksonville Super-Sectional by a final score of 60-43.
Lawrenceville defeated LeRoy in the 1A EIU Charleston Super-Sectional by a final score of 48-26.
Goreville and Lawrenceville will square off in the IHSA 1A State Semifinals on Thursday at 10 AM. The winner will move on to the State Championship, the loser will play for 3rd Place.
Benton fell to Quincy Notre Dame in the 2A SIU Carbondale Super-Sectional by a final score of 55-36.
The Carmi-White County Boys Track team will travel to Marion on Thursday for an indoor meet. The Bulldogs will host their first home meet of the season on April 9.
The Carmi-White County Baseball and Softball teams will begin their seasons on Monday. Softball will host Grayville and Baseball will travel to West Frankfort.
Monday’s Softball game will be streamed on 97.3 FM WRUL and the WRUL Sports YouTube Channel.
