The Carmi-White County Boys Basketball team defeated Harrisburg on Friday Night by a final score of 48-47.
Trailing by one in the final seconds, the Bulldogs looked to their sophomore point guard, Carson Miller, who hit the game-winning shot as the buzzer sounded.
Miller finished the game with 8 points.
Dylan Winerberger scored 18.
Merick Millhorn scored 13.
Hayden Sauls scored 5.
Ian Goemaat and Jackson Bradshaw each scored 2.
The Bulldogs improve their record to 2-15 on the season as they finished the CWCIT at 1-2 and in 3rd Place. Carmi is scheduled to host Grayville this Friday night, weather permitting.
In the CWCIT Championship Game on Friday, Mt. Vernon (IN) defeated Fairfield, 49-47.
Dylan Winerberger was named to the CWCIT All-Tournament Team.
With school being cancelled today and tomorrow for Carmi-White County Unit 5, all athletic events scheduled for today and tomorrow have been either cancelled or postponed.
