The Carmi-White County Boys Basketball team fell to Flora on Friday Night by a final score of 57-33.
Merick Millhorn led the Bulldogs in scoring with 10 points.
Jaxon Bradshaw scored 8.
Hayden Sauls, Javan Lucas, and Dylan Winerberger each scored 5.
The Bulldogs fall to 2-18 on the year and 1-6 in the Black Diamond Conference. Carmi will have three games this week, they will host Eldorado tomorrow, travel to Hamilton County on Friday, and host Wayne City on Saturday.
The Carmi-White County Girls Basketball team fell to Edwards County on Saturday by a final score of 48-47.
The Lady Bulldogs trailed by 11 at the end of the 3rd quarter, and they came all the way back to tie the game at 47-47 in the final minute. A questionable foul call followed by a made free throw for Edwards County gave them a 48-47 lead with 4 seconds left to play.
Carmi would get a good look at the buzzer but Addi Elliott’s three-point shot would not fall, giving the Lady Lions the one point win.
Elliott led the Lady Bulldogs in scoring with 22 points.
Torrie Rider scored 12.
Caroline Simmons scored 11.
Jaya Smith scored 2.
The Lady Bulldogs fall to 15-10 on the season as they finish 6-4 in the Black Diamond.
Carmi will be back at home tonight as they face Gallatin County for a non-conference matchup. Fans can watch and listen to tonight’s game on 97.3 FM WRUL and the WRUL Sports YouTube Channel.
The Lady Bulldogs will then wrap up the regular season on Thursday at Woodlawn.
The IHSA released the Girls Basketball postseason brackets on Friday. The Lady Bulldogs are the 7 seed in the south Sub-Sectional of the Olney Sectional.
Carmi will play in the Eldorado Regional, and they will host a quarterfinal play-in game at home against Eldorado this Saturday at 6 PM. If the Lady Bulldogs win on Saturday, they will take on Harrisburg next Monday at Eldorado in the Regional Semifinals.
