The Carmi-White County Softball team fell to Crab Orchard yesterday afternoon by a final score of 6-5.
The game was tied at 4-4 heading into the 7th inning when Crab Orchard scored two runs with two outs in the top of the 7th. The Lady Bulldogs were able to cut the deficit to 6-5, but with the winning run at the plate they came away empty handed.
Addi Elliott, Eva Attebury, Caroline Simmons, Sydney Stallings, Aerielle McWhirter, and Bri Hale all recorded base hits in the loss.
The Lady Bulldogs fall to 3-8 on the season. They’ll begin conference play this afternoon when they travel to Flora.
The CWC Baseball team will also travel to Flora this afternoon.
The Carmi-White County Boys Track team will travel to DuQuoin this afternoon for their first outdoor meet of the season.
