The Carmi-White County Baseball team hosted Edwards County at Eckerle Park yesterday afternoon, and the Bulldogs fell by a final score of 3-0.
The game was tied at 0-0 after 5 innings of play, but Edwards County would score 3 runs in the top of the 6th and that would be all they needed. Carmi finished the day going 0-for-6 with runners in scoring position as they lose their sixth consecutive game.
The Bulldogs fall to 3-12 on the season and 0-4 in the Black Diamond Conference. They will have the weekend off and they will host Eldorado at home on Tuesday.
The Carmi-White County Softball team also hosted Edwards County at home yesterday, and the Lady Bulldogs would fall by a final score of 15-5.
Carmi jumped out to a 5-0 lead after the 1st inning, but the Lady Lions would then proceed to score 15 runs unanswered en route to a 15-5 win.
The Lady Bulldogs fall to 3-14 on the season and 0-4 in the Black Diamond Conference as they have now lost 9 games in a row. Carmi will host Johnston City on Monday before another BDC battle with Eldorado on Tuesday.
The Carmi-White County Boys Track team traveled to Christopher yesterday for the Tom Wheeler Invite, and the Bulldogs finished in 2nd Place out of 8 teams.

The Bulldog Track team will travel to Hamilton County on Monday for the Roger Lee Invite.
The Carmi-White County Boys Tennis team defeated Mt. Vernon (IL) at home yesterday by a final of 7-2.
Madden Anderson, Gabe Winkleman, Rylee Dodgson, and Kyson Clark won their singles matches. Carmi went 3-0 in doubles matches.
The Bulldogs will host Union County (KY) on Monday at Bradshaw Park.
