Illinois State Police District 19 has released results from Occupant Restraint Enforcement Patrols that were conducted this month.
Patrols in Wabash and Edwards Counties conducted on Saturday, September 24 resulted in 28 seat belt violations out of 32 total tickets written. In addition twelve written warnings were issued.
On Monday, September 26 patrols in Saline and Gallatin Counties resulted in 31 seat belt tickets out of 39 citations written, and 14 written warnings were issued.
No child seat violations were found during the patrols.
In October, District 19 Troopers will conduct Occupant Restraint Enforcement Patrols in Wayne, Hamilton, Saline, and Gallatin Counties. Troopers will also conduct an Alcohol Countermeasure Enforcement Patrol in Saline County during the month, and a Roadside Safety Check will be conducted in White County on Saturday, October 29th.
