IECC Board of Trustees Meeting – January 16, 2018

Results of the Employee Satisfaction Survey for the fiscal year 2017 were presented to the Board of Trustees of Illinois Eastern Community Colleges, at the regular meeting Tuesday, January 16, at Lincoln Trail College, Robinson.

In the fall of each year, District employees are given the opportunity to answer a survey which reviews the operation of the District and its four colleges.  The employees were given an opportunity to review health and dental benefits, information availability, personnel changes, website quality, equipment and technology needs, and a variety of other questions concerning the District.

The Board reviewed the highest areas of agreement or strong agreement and the highest areas of disagreement or strong disagreement with the administration of the District.  Overall, the survey shows that employees are very satisfied with the operation of the District.

A new Freedom of Information Act policy and fee structure were approved to ensure the District is in compliance with changes in the Act.

An application for Protection Health and Safety funds was approved to pay the cost of repairs to the Pedestrian Bridge at Olney Central College.

A Collective Bargaining Agreement was approved with the Illinois Eastern Colleges Education Association, IEA-NEA, for 2017-2018 and for 2018-2019.

The retirement of Thomas Baird, Telecommunications Instructor at LTC, was ratified effective June 1, 2108.

The resignation of Heather Ackman, Nursing Instructor at OCC was ratified effective January 1, 2018.    The resignation of Liesl Wingert was ratified effective February 2, 2018.
