IECC Board of Trustees Meeting – 11-15-2016

The Board of Trustees of Illinois Eastern Community Colleges adopted two updated Board Policies in response to new Department of Labor overtime guidelines that become effective December 1, 2016.  The updated polices were approved at the regular meeting Tuesday, November 15, at Lincoln Trail College, Robinson.

            The trustees approved a lease agreement with the Lincoln Trail College Foundation for two vans to be utilized by Lincoln Trail College.

The holiday calendar for administrative, technical, professional non-faculty, clerical and maintenance personnel was approved for calendar year 2017.  The schedule is the same as in previous years.

            Affiliation agreements were approved for LTC’s Basic Nurse Assistant Program with Wabash General Hospital and Crawford Memorial Hospital.

            Dates, times and meeting location were set for regular monthly meetings of the Board of Trustees for the 2017 calendar year.  The Board will meet on the third Tuesday of each month, except December, when it will meet on the second Tuesday of the month.  The dates were approved as follows:

            Tuesday, September 19, 2017, 7 p.m., Frontier Community College

            Tuesday, October 17, 2017, 7 p.m., Lincoln Trail College

            Tuesday, December 12, 2017, 7 p.m., Wabash Valley College

Trustees approved a bid committee recommendation for FCC Baseball Field Lighting – Materials Only (Parts 1 & 2) for $59,900 from Musco Sports Lighting, Inc. and from Wayne White Counties Electric Co-Op (Part 3) for $19,016.34.  The Board rejected all bids for a Concession Stand Construction project at the FCC Baseball Field due to variation in bid pricing.

            A retirement ratification was approved for Christine Cantwell, Chief Academic

Officer/Dean, Academic & Student Support Services at the District Office, effective June 1,

2017.

            A resignation ratification was approved for Lora Smith, Career Advisor, at OCC,

effective January 1, 2017.

            A change in status was approved for Jennifer Jennings, Coordinator of College Support

Services, District Office, to Administrative Assistant, TRIO Upward Bound, District

Office/Olney Central College, effective November 16, 2016.

            A change in status was approved for Mary Morningstar Johnson, Coordinator of

Financial Aid, WVC, to Coordinator of College Support Services, District Office, effective

November 16, 2016.

            Next regular meeting of the Board of Trustees will be Tuesday, December 13, 2016, at 7

p.m. at Olney Central College, Olney.
