White County Sheriff Jordan Weiss has some exciting news regarding the Enfield Rehabilitation Center.
In a press release, Sheriff Weiss states that after a conversation with Representative Dave Severin, Severin confirmed that he has spoken with a liaison from the Department of Corrections, who said that, as of now, the DOC will not be moving forward with any plans related to the previous proposal.
The previous statement of how the IDOC would utilize the Enfield Rehabilitation was for a halfway house with 43 ankle-monitored sex offenders who would be on Mandatory Supervised Release.
