A Carmi man jailed last summer on fresh drug charges as well as a warrant that dates back to 2024 on felony charges of Possession of Child Pornography and Sexual Exploitation of a Child is now back behind bars once again after online records show new charges of Failure to Return from Furlough. Now 40-year-old Karl Holland still hasn’t entered a plea on those Possession of Child Porn and Sexual Exploitation charges that date back to October of 2024. On June 30th of 2025, Holland was arrested and charged with drug charges on top of being picked up on the warrant. In early October of 2025, Holland was released; he was to be placed on electronic monitoring and not to have access to internet in any way. A new warrant was requested on January 7th and granted on the 12th with charges of Failure to Return from Furlough and also Criminal Damage to Government Property. That warrant was allegedly served on Monday. A pretrial has been set for March 4th at 10am.
