At the time, Heath was arrested and charged with DUI as well as Illegal Stopping in a Roadway.  On Monday in Bond County court, count one (DUI) was dismissed as a court official tells us Heath’s blood and urine tests showed no alcohol was present, nor were any other intoxicating compounds.  Heath did plead guilty to the lesser charge of Illegal Stopping in a Roadway.

School administrators made their way up to rural Bond County and brought the bus home with approximately 40 youth still aboard and they arrived at around 2am on Tuesday, November 11th.  Families were aware something was awry as they were able to track their youngster’s location through family safety/location-sharing apps showing the bus traveling the wrong direction for some time and failing at attempted corrections in course.

We’ve reached out to Unit 5 administration for comment.
