Special to WROY/WRUL News from Diane Kunkel, Publicity Chair for Hamilton/White/Wayne County Relay for Life
The 2026 Blackout Cancer Game honoring cancer survivors will take place on Friday, February 13, at Hamilton County High School as the HCHS Foxes host the Carmi-White County Bulldogs.
The evening’s event will honor all survivors in attendance with a Survivor Lap between the JV and Varsity games. With 3 minutes remaining at the end of the JV game, survivors are asked to meet in the Commons for their “lap of honor” around the gym.
The event will also include a table in the Commons to display raffle baskets, register survivors, and provide information about Relay For Life.
“We encourage everyone to wear Blackout Cancer or survivor shirts and join us as we honor our survivors and kickoff the 2026 Relay season,” commented Janice Crow, RFL chair.
The 2026 Hamilton/Wayne/White County Relay For Life Event will take place on June 13 at the Carlton Center in McLeansboro.
