A Grayville man and Omaha woman were arrested Monday morning in Carmi. Officers pulled over 37-year-old Jay Hudkins of Grayville and 36-year-old Amanda Pettyjohn of Omaha at about a quarter till 10am. The stop was prompted due to a Suspended Registration for Mandatory Insurance and Pettyjohn, the driver, was subsequently arrested for Driving on an Expired License over a year and also cited for Suspended Registration. The passenger, Hudkins, was placed in custody on a charge of Possession of Cannabis in a Motor Vehicle with a citation for Illegal Transportation of Alcohol by a Passenger kicker. Officers noted as evidence a white dab pen, an orange smoking device with burnt residue, a container with cannabis, and two open containers of alcohol.
