Carmi Police conducted a traffic stop on Friday afternoon on a blue dirt bike driven by James Omans. Omans was arrested and later released with three notices to appear for charges of Driving While License Revoked, Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle, and No Valid Registration.

In the very early hours of Saturday morning, Carmi Police attempted to pull over a vehicle for improper lane usage at the corner of Main and Jessup Street, but the driver fled and was eventually stopped at the intersection of Fifth and Fackney Street.
Crossville resident Matthew McGill was placed under arrest for a series of serious charges, including Reckless Driving and Aggravated Fleeing and Eluding. His troubles didn’t end there. Once McGill arrived at the White County Jail, he was given additional charges of DUI of Alcohol and DUI BAC of .08 or higher, as well as a citation for Illegal Transportation of Alcohol.
A Preliminary Hearing for McGill was set for September 29 at 10 am.

Later on Saturday, Carmi Police received a call about a residence on Schumaker Street in reference to a Domestic Dispute.
Krista Davis was arrested for Domestic Battery and Disorderly Conduct. Davis went in front of a judge Monday morning and was released, and an Arraignment hearing was set for October 6 at 9:30.

The last arrest for the weekend by the Carmi Police pertained to a White County Arrest Warrant for Adam Bratcher.
Bratcher’s warrant was issued on August 20 for Retail Theft, with a prior conviction. Bratcher was booked into the White County Jail and later released with a First Appearance court date for October 8 at 9.
