Four Individuals Arrested by White County Sheriff Department

On February 4, a White County Sheriff Deputy noticed a vehicle failing to signal when turning left onto a county road.
The Deputy pulled over the vehicle and asked the driver, Bryan Raigner, for proof of insurance and a driver’s license. After receiving the documents, the officer ran Raigner’s information through dispatch and learned his license was suspended in Illinois.
Raigner was arrested for Driving While License Suspended and cited for Failure to Signal, then taken to White County Jail. He was released with a Notice to Appear on March 3 at 9 am.
Then on Sunday afternoon, a Deputy observed Luther McPherson approaching a vehicle at Huck’s in Carmi.
According to the report, the Deputy ran the plate number, and the information returned to the vehicle belonging to Adam Bratcher, who had a Failure to Appear Warrant out of White County for Attempting to Defraud a Drug Test.
The officer stopped the vehicle on Main Street, saw Bratcher driving, and advised him of the warrant before placing him under arrest.
Before Bratcher was taken into custody, the officer contacted his parents, who took possession of the vehicle with two dogs inside. McPherson, the passenger, could not take the vehicle due to a suspended license.
During a Wednesday morning court appearance, Bratcher’s Pre-Trial Release was revoked, requiring him to remain in custody pending the case or for 90 days, whichever is sooner.
Crossville native Tonya Melendez turned herself in at the White County Sheriff’s Office on Monday for her Failure to Appear Saline County Warrant.
Melendez’s warrant was issued in December 2025 for a 2020 Possession of a Stolen Vehicle charge.
Another individual later turned themselves in at the Sheriff’s Office.
Kayden McDowell walked into the Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday to turn himself in on an active White County Arrest Warrant.
McDowell’s warrant was for Aggravated DUI and Driving While License Suspended. It was a book and release; he received a preliminary hearing date of March 16 at 10 am.
