Carmi Police were dispatched to Walmart regarding a physical altercation.
McLeansboro native Robert Rape was arrested for Aggravated Battery and Assault.
According to the police report, Rape was given a notice to appear on his charges because the jail refused entry due to his hand injury, which was described as severe and required medical treatment.

Carmi Police stopped a vehicle Friday afternoon and arrested 23-year-old Emma Wright.
Wright was pulled over at the intersection of Plum and Robinson and is facing a charge of Possession of Cannabis in a Motor Vehicle by a Driver.
Wright was booked and released, with a First Appearance set for May 26 at 9 am.

Two hours later, an officer stopped a female driver near Vibrocoustic.
Rebecca Keller was subsequently arrested for Driving on a Suspended License and given citations for Operation of a Motor Vehicle while Registration is Suspended and Operation of an Uninsured Motor Vehicle.
Keller was also booked and released, set for a First Appearance on May 26 at 9 am.

Another individual was arrested for Cannabis by Carmi Police on Saturday morning.
31-year-old Elsie Carr was arrested after Carmi Police conducted a traffic stop and could smell raw cannabis emitting from the vehicle.
Police found Carr to be in Possession of Cannabis and issued her a citation for Operation of an Uninsured Motor Vehicle.
Carr was booked into the White County Jail and later released with a notice to appear.
