Four Adults and Two Juveniles Arrested Over the Weekend

Around 7:26 pm on Friday, Carmi woman Jeanetta Felty was arrested by Carmi Police for Domestic Battery following a call for service at a residence on Second Street. An Arraignment was set for November 5 at 9:30 am; she was later released.

In the early morning hours of Saturday, a White County warrant led to the arrest of 46-year-old Maranda Travelstead.
The charge, dating back to August of this year, was for Theft. Travelstead was booked and later released due to the conditions of the warrant.

Just a few hours later on Saturday morning, two women were arrested by the Carmi Police at Hucks for Retail Theft.
Patti Hyatt will face her second Theft charge of this year. Hyatt will have her Arraignment for both charges on October 29 at 10 am.
Along with Hyatt, Crossville native Tiffney Whitley was charged and arrested for Retail Theft. Whitley will have a Status hearing on Wednesday at 1.

A 14-year-old female juvenile was arrested in the early morning hours on Sunday for Aggravated Fleeing and Eluding, Reckless Driving, Driving without a Valid Driver’s License, Criminal Damage to Property, Theft over $500, and Curfew Violation. Officers attempted a traffic stop on the vehicle when it initially fled the scene. After speeds topped a dangerous speed in town, the pursuit was terminated. Officers later found the car had crashed into a ditch north of Carmi off Centerville Road. It was discovered that the juvenile had just stolen the vehicle from a residence on Herbert Avenue. She was booked and released at 4:26 am.

Later that afternoon, Carmi Police arrested another juvenile. A 17-year-old male was stopped for Unlawful Display of Registration after the plates did not match the make of the vehicle. He was later arrested and issued citations for Unlawful Display of Registration, Possession of Cannabis in a Motor Vehicle by a Driver, and Cannabis/Tobacco Use Under 21.
