A Carmi man is behind bars, his 17-year-old daughter released to her mother, but both are facing Domestic Battery charges following an altercation Monday evening. Carmi Police say they were called to a home on Hawthorne Drive at around 9:45pm and arrested the pair. There were three witnesses and body worn camera footage along with photos of injuries were collected as evidence. Simmons remains behind bars as of 8:30am Tuesday morning.
