Enfield, Crossville, and Carmi Township officials to Gather Tuesday evening

Enfield, Crossville, and Carmi Township officials will all gather Tuesday evening.

At the Carmi Township meeting, we expect to hear an update from Chairwoman Pam Dieg on assistance given out over the last month from township funds.  In new business, trustees are expected to adopt the 2025/2026 town and road levy and we should see some progress on the rebidding of the road building construction project that suffered a hitch in the giddy-up at last month’s gathering.

That meeting gets underway at 6pm at 304 South Church in Carmi.

At 7pm on the west end of the county, Enfield leaders will gather for their monthly meeting.  Leaders will aim to close out any old business which could entail street lighting, Christmas lights, an estimate for community center repairs, the 20 acres behind the park, a park grant, and opening bids on a parcel for sale.  There are no new business agenda items, but we could get an update from animal control, police, and utilities.

At 6:30pm on the east end of White County, Crossville Trustees will gather.  We expect them to open bids on their Hahn firetruck and also to hear details from the gas department from Mark Pearce.  Leaders are also expected to take up a transfer switch for the generator and get a report from animal control officer Amanda Mercer.
